Åke Thornblad HOGANAS Sweden Cat Figure Studio Art Pottery A cat designed by Ake Thornblad and made by Hoganas Keramik, Sweden. This was part of a group that included this mother cat and 2 kittens in different poses. The darker glaze colours have been applied in the detail of the piece, so the stripes and features of the cat are accentuated. Ake Thornblad (1929-2015) was an artist and sculptor born in Hoganas, Sweden. Measures 7 1/2" (19 cm) tall to the tips of the ears and is 4 3/8" (just over 11 cm) x 3" (7.75 cm) in diameter across the base, measured at the widest points.
