Antique Herbarium in Wooden Frame - Ireland, Rare

An antique herbarium page presented in a custom wooden frame with acrylic glazing. This page originates from an herbarium collection of sedges, reeds, and rushes gathered during the Victorian era by Owen McKinnon. Provenance is provided by Owen McKinnon's great-great grandchild. This specimen of sedge, labelled as White headed Beak Rush, was collected in the West of Ireland between Westport and Leenane (also Leenaun) in the 1800s. It is an original piece, not a reproduction, accompanied by a handwritten description provided by the collector. There are 12 herbariums available, and they are ideal for display as individual standout pieces, integrated into a gallery wall, or arranged together as a cohesive collection.
