Art Deco Chest of Drawers, 1930s, Painted

We refinished this 1930s chest of drawers using soft pastel green. We highlighted the mouldings using silver pigments and added a glaze to make the detail stand out. We added layers of a matt varnish over the whole piece. Height: 106.5 cms, Width: 74 cms, Depth: 44.5 cms We love to rescue beautiful, quality, vintage, furniture. We lavish them with care and breathe new life into them, but we can't make them look like new - and we don't want to! These are character items and imperfections are an integral part of their story. There are some dinks and areas of wear to the wood. There is gapping to drawers, but they work well. The bottom drawer does go slightly in on the left hand side and slightly juts out on the right, but it slides well. The handles are showing signs of wear with some marks and scuffing to the cream tops and wear and dinks to some of the metal.
