Elegant design and quality by British maker Greaves and Thomas – these guys produced some very nice pieces, and this low side coffee table is up there as one of their best. This one survives from the early 1970s and was produced in small numbers. It possesses a very stylish form with the slender teak legs holding in place a “floating” drawer with a fine seam of ebonised wood separating the top from the base. The drawer, with its original small turned knobs are set in a “framed” finish. All very nice and well proportioned. A very good-looking Mid Century table C1970 form a good British maker – Greaves and Thomas.
