A very charming vintage figurine of a Thai Prince Playing the Flute. The figurine is of Phra Aphai Mani, also the name of the epic poem he features in & often depicted in art and literature for his musical skill. After conducting a small scratch test, the Prince appears to be made of Bronze, as the colouring is a reddish-brown underneath. He is very heavy and the turquoise colour flakes off and so confirms this is actually patina and not paint, further confirming this is highly likely to be bronze and also an old piece. The gold has been added with foil. In very good vintage condition. As with all vintage items, please expect some signs of cosmetic wear. See photos for more details.
